Paris, France
Monaco-based interior designers Humbert & Poyet have breathed new life into the interior of an apartment overlooking the Eiffel Tower. This work demonstrates the designers' passion for texture and colour and how they interact to enhance everyday life.
The apartment has exceptional south-facing views overlooking the Eiffel Tower, Jardin de Tuileries and Musée d’Orsay.
Humbert & Poyet: The subdued color range, textures, and materials provide a sense of modern comfort to this typically Parisian apartment.
The designers also reimagined the layout to accommodate a lifestyle centred around entertainment, emphasising the flow of the living spaces. The original kitchen was placed at the back of the apartment, and by connecting it to the rest of the spaces, Humbert & Poyet have transformed it into the heart of the home.
Emil Humbert: “We really had to renovate everything and we also rethought the basic plan”
Bronze tones, curved shapes, and a meticulous combination of sumptuous materials adorn this typically Parisian dining room.
The rich palette of materials is distinguished by a harmonious combination of textures and colors, including a diverse range of marbles, woods, and metallic elements, amounting to spaces that, in the designers’ words, “enrich the soul”. These chosen materials coincide with equally striking furniture pieces sourced from all around the world, including vintage, new and custom, and sculptures and paintings from the owner’s extensive collection.
