New York’s first show flat, conceived as an original interpretation of contemporary French design within a context typical of New York. In a flat on the 69th floor of the iconic 53W53 building in Midtown, designed by Jean Nouvel, the Monaco-based duo Humbert & Poyet have created an extraordinary interior, with a French flair, a carefully curated collection of artworks and bespoke furniture.

Residence 69 is conceived as an interior for collector’s world above Manhattan and reimagines life in a high-rise building thanks to the expertise and craftsmanship of French designers, combining a timeless approach to interiors with contemporary design.

The proportions, lighting and high-quality materials create a comfortable atmosphere against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline, whilst carefully selected works of art and bespoke furniture emphasise the designer’s signature style and create a sense of cosiness.

The interior is conceived not as a single open-plan space, but as a sequence of carefully arranged atmospheric zones. Each space is unique in its own right, yet forms part of the overall harmony.
