In the very heart of Marylebone, an affluent London neighbourhood in the north of Westminster, Banda, a rapidly growing international design firm founded by Edo Mapelli Mozzi, has carried out a refurbishment of the flat, transforming it into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room, a reception area and three bathrooms. The stucco mouldings and original features were restored and complemented by Versailles-style parquet flooring and decorative panelling.

Soft neutral tones were enlivened with a mix of materials and textures and statement pieces such as the fire surround in the bold Calacatta Viola marble to beautifully elevate the space.

The kitchen has been custom-designed using dark, ebony-coloured ash, which blends harmoniously with the Arabescato Corchia marble splashback and the beautiful worktop. The distinctive triple wall-mounted light fittings bring the interior to life.

The interiors reflect Banda Design Studio’s signature style: contemporary classics are skilfully blended with traditional architecture from various eras, whilst a modern, neutral colour palette is complemented by original textures, restored historical features and works of contemporary art.

Custom designed oak headboard with inset cane feels warm and timeless.
