Family Holiday Home in Corsica by Jean-Louis Deniot
The interior of a house on the southern Corsican coast by the renowned Parisian designer and interior decorator Jean-Louis Deniot. The owner of the house, a young art dealer, commissioned the designer following a previous successful collaboration – Deniot had previously designed a townhouse for him in London and a flat in Paris. The client had just one requirement – to incorporate part of his collection of contemporary art and furniture by famous modernist designers into the new interior.
The interiors of the house and the well-established terraces are filled with designer collectable furniture, bespoke pieces and high-quality furniture from renowned brands (outdoor sofas by Janus & Cie featuring Nomi fabrics, the Lolah Three-Seater, the Mistral Collection, Charlotte Perriand bookcases, Hans Wegner chairs...) and designer lighting by Farming-Net Lamps and Nendo.
Designed by the Corsican architect Gilles Tarrazzoni, this 500-square-metre house blends seamlessly into the picturesque hillside near Porto-Vecchio. Its large terraces offer stunning panoramic views of the sea and the Mediterranean coastline. The abundance of open terraces ‘blurs’ the distinct boundaries between the surrounding space and the interior, making the house seem even larger...
