The Maker Hotel joins a growing number of New York City getaways away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. Antique furniture, roaring fireplaces and plush rugs create the epitome of bohemian grandeur in Hudson. The Warren Street hotel, which occupies three buildings (a Georgian mansion, a Greek Revival building and a carriage house built in the early 1800s), has a total of 11 rooms. The interiors were designed by Lev Glazman, who created the hotel together with Alina Roytberg and Damien Janowicz. He describes the vibe of his creation as "vintage bohemian glamor that combines a worldly design ethos shaped by decades of travel."
Lev Glazman :
“Throughout my travels, I have always felt there was an opportunity to expand the hospitality experience - one that inspires and allows you to dream. We knew we could bring The Maker concept to life on the Hudson because the area has always been rich in artisans, history and design, and this was the perfect location.” Painted ceilings, mosaic floors and stained glass windows are all original features of its predecessors. However, Glazman added many historical details and items made by local Hudson Valley craftsmen and artisans. More than 70 percent of the decorative elements are antique or custom-made. Some works and decorative items from Glazman's personal collection.
Lev Glazman :
“By moving away from standardized design, The Maker brings together different historical periods and provides a space in which eclectic design can exist harmoniously.”
Eclectic style permeates the bedrooms, terrace lofts, corner studios and guest suites of Maker Studios in several types, each inspired by one of the four creative professions: writer, artist, architect and gardener. The Artist room features an antique easel, while The Writer room features bookshelves next to an oak fireplace...
В распоряжении гостей хороший ресторан, уютный коктейль-бар и бассейн.
