Indian designer Anuradha Alegavi Shukla (June Walk Design), a long-time practitioner in Spain, has successfully renovated a Spanish-style villa in Bangalore. The interiors of the 4,000 square foot villa have been given a contemporary Mediterranean feel by adding typical Spanish architectural elements such as arched doorways and niches, visible wooden beams, modern light fittings, decorative tiles and wrought iron railings.

Anuradha Alegavi Shukla:

“The homeowners wanted the large expanse of the home to feel more collected and cosy. This is their forever home, and they wanted it to have tons of character and a lived-in feel”

Anuradha Alegavi Shukla:

“A major challenge was the extremely tight timeline we had, as the clients were planning to move into the house before December for Christmas. I still can't believe that we delivered a project of this scale from design to execution in only six months!”

The guest and master bedrooms in the villa are earthy, minimal spaces, with the ideal serene atmosphere for a languorous siesta or a quiet night in.
