Timeless Beauty in Tinos: villa Emerging Landscape

 Tinos, Greece

Architects: KORDAS Architects
Principal Architect:  Aris Kordas
Design Team: Ioanna Pappou, Eva Rentoumi
3D Visualization: Thanos Papadopoulos

On a gentle hillside on the island of Tinos lies a house dubbed “Emerging Landscape”. The house follows the natural topography, the material character of the island, and existing landscape elements – both natural and man-made.

The house carves gently into the slope, allowing the terrain to remain visually indepented. With rough stone and shaded timber frames, the structure blurs the line between built form and untouched nature — a presence defined by discretion.

The interior flows outward—defined by quiet lines, softened light, and the honesty of raw materials.

Rooted in the island’s raw textures and softened by the Aegean light, this residence dissolves into the landscape — inviting a life of quiet luxury that doesn’t need to be loud.

This is not just a vacation house in Tinos — it is a place of presence. A place where the Cycladic landscape lives through architecture.
