Paris, France
This large apartment had all the characteristics of a typical Parisian style Haussmannian architecture: ceiling moldings, Hungarian point hardwood flooring and marble fireplaces topped with mirrors. Since the 19th century, the challenge has been to review their interior architecture and to adapt it to the contemporary style of each era, without distorting these beautiful elements of timeless elegance. Camille Hermand delivers her version here: contrasts between shades of dark blue and whites that highlight the very pure luminosity of the living room and punctuate the works of art exhibited.
Before / After, highlighting the qualities and correcting the faults of a Haussmann-style apartment. In this classically beautiful apartment, heritage features are highlighted by contrasting colors. The effect of the monumental entrance is reinforced by a dark hue, against which the works of art are reflected. In the living room and dining room, the richly restored moldings provide a luminous blank canvas for contemporary furniture and masterpieces. The long, dark hallway is illuminated by two bay windows that open up the office and kitchen, breaking up its monotony. All elements of comfort have been added: contemporary bathrooms and kitchen, discreetly integrated storage units.
