On the verge of elegance and brutality: Chicago Sunset in Kyiv

CHICAGO SUNSET is an apartment in the center of Kyiv with special attention to detail, a vintage workbench and incredibly beautiful sunsets. 

“On the verge of elegance and brutality”, — that’s how we can describe the mood of the project, which is located on a high floor in the “Chicago” residential complex with a panoramic view of the city.

The main living area of the flat is spacious, featuring a true mix of textures, finishes and materials, all brought together within a monochrome interior palette. Metal partitions with handcrafted ribbed glass separate the entrance area—complete with a cloakroom and guest bathroom—from the kitchen, bar and living room. The zoning of the space is dictated by the load-bearing columns, which were left untreated, supporting the metal opening leading to the private part of the apartment. The focal point of the interior is a vintage workbench from the Netherlands, which serves as a bar counter. The designers ensured the vintage bar was at a comfortable height by raising the loom onto a metal structure.
