Paris 10th arrondissement, France
A 55-square-metre Parisian flat overlooking the Gare de l’Est embankment. An imposing marble fireplace, preserved in all its splendour, original stucco mouldings and high ceilings provide the historical backdrop to the project. Classic interior elements blend seamlessly with contemporary features.
Light streaming through large windows overlooking the waterfront highlights the original architectural features and the quality of the layout. The living room, with its dominant marble fireplace at the center, has been cleverly designed to create a comfortable and spacious feel.
A specially designed linear furniture system organises the kitchen space and separates the living area from the sleeping area.
The private area is deliberately hidden from view. The bedroom contrasts with the living areas: it is better shielded from the hustle and bustle of the city and features a more understated design.
