‘Cedar’s Kin’ is a unique lakeside residence in Huron County, Ontario, spanning 5,000 square feet and designed by Omar Gandhi Architects. The house is situated on a steep, wooded slope on the eastern shore of Lake Huron.  It comprises a carefully considered sequence of stepped volumes that flow seamlessly into one another, cascading down towards the water.

Open terraces create a connection between the interior space and the tree canopy.

‘Cedar’s Kin’ blends seamlessly into its surroundings — both to create a natural, breathtaking journey from the cliff top to the beach and to preserve the ecosystem.

Cedar’s Kin’ comprises the main house, a guest cottage and a beach hut — all the buildings are designed in a contemporary architectural style and blend perfectly into the landscape.
