Argentine-American designer Sebastian Zuchowicki and his team have transformed a contemporary Manhattan penthouse into a cosy, comfortable home. They have infused the interiors with warmth through the use of textures and materials, whilst retaining the concept developed by the renowned Japanese architect Shigeru Ban.

The combination of a contemporary interpretation of Art Deco with Japanese aesthetics—renowned for their simplicity, harmony and connection with nature—has produced a striking result that goes beyond the bounds of traditional interior design. The influence of Japanese design is evident in the open spaces, clean lines and sophisticated use of natural materials such as stone and wood.
