The architectural studio Reigo & Bauer has succeeded in transforming a multi-level house with dark interiors into a bright and contemporary home, where a host of original sculptural elements bring the design to life. The designers’ main objective was to better reflect the client’s contemporary aesthetic preferences and lifestyle, which they achieved by creating a series of sophisticated spaces for entertainment and relaxation that are visually connected and flow seamlessly into one another in a carefully balanced arrangement.

The new curved staircase in the main entrance hall creates a striking focal point and immediately sets the tone as you enter. This eye-catching interior feature, crafted from welded steel with a solid bronze handrail, rises gracefully through the double-height corridor to the upper floor.

Reigo & Bauer opted for a soft, neutral colour palette that brought the whole house together.

The project is the perfect embodiment of the concept of ‘elegant Canadian cosiness’.

Despite the muted colour palette throughout the house, vibrant accents are present in the stylish accessories, individual pieces of furniture and rugs. They lend a sense of individuality to the calm, warm interior, which the designers have succeeded in transforming significantly through striking spatial motifs and meticulous attention to detail at every level.
