Upper Engadine, Saint Moritz, Switzerland|
Engadin House has been transformed into a modern, comfortable chalet thanks to extensive renovation work. The three-storey chalet with lake views has become a favourite holiday destination for a young family, who spend time there all year round.
The interior designer has created a modern and cosy atmosphere through the use of natural materials. The nature-inspired theme of the project is reflected in all the interior materials and furniture, starting with wood, which is the main decorative element of this house and is traditional for this region.
The exterior of the building was preserved, while the floor space was significantly increased through the renovation project by changing the layout. The most significant changes were made to the basement, where an additional 500 square metres of auxiliary rooms were created, as well as the pool area, which was illuminated by large windows that ‘let in’ the beautiful landscape into the interior.
