The Sakinaw Lake House – is located in the Sunshine Coast, a scenic region northwest of Vancouver. The home is anchored to a steep, rocky site that overlooks the lake, where "there wasn't much space for a home"
The 3,060-square-foot (284-square-metre) vacation dwelling was designed for a couple with a baby girl and two older boys. The project's primary goals were to provide outdoor space, capitalise on views and ensure a connection between the different levels of the home.
Sophie Burke Design: "This modern home (architecture by Woven Architecture and Design) hugs the shore of a remote lake in BC where crisp architectural detailing meets the rugged, natural landscape. Our challenge was not to compete with the exterior geography, but rather to complement it with a calm and expansive living space."
A nice spot to work for the mid week hustle
